Chapter 605 - 604: Reactions of people remaining in the Sun Base 8
Luciel observed how the kids in the Sun Base interacted with the kids from their team and then chuckled."Boss, what's funny?"
"Don't tell me you didn't notice?" Luciel asked, still with a smile while looking at the kids—especially those that were interacting with the younger ones.
Myla followed his gaze. "Ahh, you're talking about that?" Myla said with realization, then also chuckled and added, "I also noticed it a while ago; Camille should have realized it together with a few of those older kids. But boss, it seemed that you're the one who realized it the quickest."
"Their tricks aren't that good yet," Luciel replied, still with a smile.
After observing how the kids were interacting, Luciel immediately saw that the kids from the Sun Base had some tricks.
They were actually using the kids in their team to gain more information by guiding their conversations to get some information that would be useful to them.
He also saw that most of them were deliberately acting more pitiful, as well as doing other things to try to gain more benefits from the kids in their team.
Those kids from the Sun Base had obviously grown up in a harsher environment and were already accustomed to deception and doing other things in order to survive, which could actually be seen in how they acted.
He could also see that those kids had more guts and more will to survive compared to others; that's why they were still able to survive in the Sun Base, which doesn't have any room for children to survive.
Maybe because they're still young, even though their skills were already considered good for their age, it was still very noticeable to him and the others who had already seen such things many times.
However, those kids didn't really have bad intentions, as the things that they wanted to know were just more information and more benefits for them to survive longer, so he didn't bother pointing it out.
Those that noticed their tricks probably also thought of it, so they didn't say anything and just continued what they were doing, but were just more guarded than before to watch the others with them so that they won't mention anything that they couldn't.
Well, the younger kids had actually been taught what they could and couldn't mention to other people, so they probably won't slip up.
The kids in their team had also seen a lot of people already since they were always traveling with them, so they certainly already learned something from those encounters, even if they still couldn't understand things too deeply.
"But, boss, they're still better than the other kids that we've seen."
"Yeah, they're certainly better."
They'd already met a lot of kids, especially in the bases that they had stopped by, as the kids in their team were donating things to them. It's certainly not the first time that they encountered kids that knew a lot of tricks; however, the kids in the Sun Base were indeed better than the previous ones, probably because they had managed to survive in an even harsher place compared to those that they had met before.
Luciel further observed the kids from the Sun Base and saw that even though they're more cunning than others, and even though some of them had blood on their hands already, they're not that bad.
Those kids still had more positive values in them and hadn't gone astray, which was great, as it's not surprising for kids to go astray in the previous environment of the Sun Base.
Well, according to Myla and the others, the kids were good at hiding; that's probably why they hadn't gone astray yet in their previous environment.
"Add better weapons to the things that you guys are going to donate. They could certainly use them," Luciel said to Myla.
"Ok," Myla immediately agreed and even added, "It seems that those kids could indeed use those weapons."
Those kids from the Sun Base had been asking the kids in their team about zombies, mutant animals, and mutant plants. They're even asking for more details about zombies as well as places which could have more supplies that people hadn't collected yet, so those kids were probably planning to venture out later if they had a chance to do so.
They're obviously more self-reliant, so they wouldn't just rely on the things that they had donated; and if they couldn't find more things to do inside the base, then they'll probably venture out to collect their own supplies.
They had even asked about routes, the locations of the bases that they had seen before, and other things, as if they're getting ready in case they had to leave the Sun Base.
Well, it's indeed good for them to properly prepare, as they couldn't be sure that nothing will happen that would force them to move out of the Sun Base on their own. They certainly noticed that the kids from the team also knew about routes and other things, that's why they were even asking more questions about it.
The kids from their team had been taught about the maps, especially the older ones, just in case they needed those things in the future.
They're also always present when they have their meetings about the roads when they are about to go somewhere else, just so that they would be familiar with it and, in case of an accident, they would still be able to find their way back or go to possible meeting places.
So, the kids in their team indeed knew a lot of things about those, so the kids from the Sun Base were certainly getting what they wanted even without the need of asking adults about it.
Well, the kids from their team were probably more knowledgeable than some of the adults in the Sun Base, especially about the circumstances after the apocalypse began, as they had been traveling with them since the beginning—unlike some of the adults in the Sun Base that had been trapped in the Sun Base from the beginning or after they had traveled for a while.
