Chapter 604 - 603: Reactions of the people remaining in the Sun Base 7

Luciel just continued walking around, and when he had nearly finished his walk, he finally encountered Myla standing at the door of one of the buildings at the corner of an alley.
"What are you guys doing there?" Luciel asked while walking towards Myla's location.
Of course, even though he was still far away, he could already hear the voices of kids inside the building where Myla was at.
"While wandering around the Sun Base, they remembered the other kids and started looking for them, as they wanted to continue donating just like what they had done before. There's only a few kids in this base, as observed before. And according to the registration, most of the remaining kids in this base actually don't have adults to support them any longer, so the kids in our team began looking for them as the priority for their donations," Myla explained.
Indeed, when Treyton and the others had gathered all the people in the Sun Base, it included kids, but he hadn't seen a lot of them. He had only seen a few at that time, and most of them were even scattered or were behind people, further minimizing their presence.
In the time that they were in, it's already hard for kids to survive, and in a hellish place like the Sun Base, it's even harder for kids to survive.
"Is this the place where they originally lived?" Luciel said while looking around, as the place was really at the very corner where it's obviously not favored by other people to live.
"No. According to them, they didn't have a proper place to live in before, and most of the time, they would just live where the adults stayed and then move again depending on the situation. As they didn't have a lot of work given by those previous masters and were often abused, most of the time they would just hide away. All of them just moved into this place after we cleaned up this base."
The former Sun Base was certainly harsh on kids, as they were already very harsh to those adults; so, for the kids who couldn't do much work like those adults, they didn't have much value, so their treatment was certainly the worst. "Since they have already moved, they should have found a better place than where they are currently at, as it's just easier for them to be exploited if they continued to stay at such a hidden corner."
Luciel could understand that the kids didn't want to be too noticeable even if their current environment had improved because of their arrival, as those kids would still need to rely on themselves to survive afterwards. They're probably still afraid that they'll continue to be exploited or encounter more hardships later; that's why they chose a corner where they could hide from most people.
However, Luciel really thinks that their decision is bad because, in their current situation, it's actually better for them to stay at a place where more people could see them, so that they could avoid being exploited by those people with bad intentions and disappearing without other people noticing it at all.
The Sun Base currently had people that managed it, so there would be order soon, and the situation was unlikely to deteriorate like before because of their contact with the North Base and other bases. Even if the leaders in the Sun Base were to become greedy after some time, it still wouldn't be too lawless just like before, and there would still be people that would maintain basic order in the base.
So, as long as those kids didn't offend people they couldn't offend and knew how to be tactful and read the situation, they would have a better survival environment in a place where more people were aware of their existence.
Well, after the kids in the team donated, those in charge of the base would certainly think of it and move those kids to a better place; or if they didn't, Myla and the others could just request it, as their team was even adding something more to the donation that the kids were giving.
So, Luciel didn't bother thinking more about it and just went inside the building to see the kids in it.
