Chapter 602 - 601: Reactions of the people remaining in the Sun base 5
Before Zam and the others started giving out their punishment, the people that were hanged by him and those people that were still below and weren't hanged didn't loudly complain anymore because of what he did, but they were still occasionally murmuring some of their complaints and dissatisfactions. But after Zam and the others started punishing those so-called masters in the Sun Base, those people finally didn't utter anything, they were clearly afraid that they would be the next ones that would be dealt with if they didn't behave.
After punishing and driving those abusers away from the Sun Base, Treyton and the others finally started making arrangements for the remaining people again.
They started sorting out the people who were willing to stay as well as those that were willing to travel somewhere. Aside from that, they also arranged people to go to the warehouses that the Sun Base had to see the amount of supplies.
Seeing the people lining up as well as the other members busy helping out—recording as well as maintaining order—Luciel stood up and started going back to their RV, as he was no longer interested in watching them busying themselves.
Before entering the RV, he didn't forget to let go of the people that he had hanged, but of course, he also didn't bother letting them down gently and just recalled the energy from those vines and gathered them into a new, smaller vine, letting the previous ones rot immediately; so, those that were hanged weren't let down gently.
Well, they wouldn't die and would only suffer a few bruises, so he didn't care even when they panickily shouted again while falling and moaned in pain afterwards.
When he returned inside the RV, the kids who were watching what was happening through the windows all looked at him.
"Big brother is cool!" Ashlee said in praise.
"Yes, big brother's vines are really good! I also want to hang people like that! And I'll even move them like this—" Sophie said, then moved her arms up and down and side to side, showing what she would do if she could hang people like he did.
"Yes, they're all bad guys and don't listen; it's good to teach them a lesson," Astrid said in agreement.
"If it were me, I'll even teach them more, as they obviously don't listen, so it's good to let them learn more lessons," Ian added.
The older and younger kids obviously agreed with Ian's statement, as they all nodded and started talking about what they saw a while ago. They were mostly talking about those people who had obviously already suffered for a long time, but after being rescued, they still had complaints.
The kids already knew that the people remaining in the Sun Base were those that had suffered a lot, especially the older kids who were allowed to see some of the things that had happened to the Sun Base while they were still waiting for Zam and the others. So, they were mostly talking about those people because they couldn't understand why those people weren't happy—especially the younger ones.
The older kids had to explain why those people were ungrateful, but even those older kids obviously had their reservations, and some of them didn't fully understand why those people had such reactions.
Luciel just listened and didn't give any further explanation to the kids, because they would understand why after a long time and after seeing a lot of such things later on. The kids already had a preliminary understanding of why those people had acted that way instead of being grateful, so he didn't say anything further; because as long as they had a preliminary understanding of why such things happened in the situation, then it's already good. At least they wouldn't expect that all people would be grateful after being saved.
They will certainly see more, as they had to keep going and had to stop by some bases to establish communication. Even if they only had to stay in those bases for a while, they still couldn't avoid seeing something. And even if they don't encounter such cases again in other bases, as long as they continued going out and roaming around, they would continue seeing more people, so the kids would certainly understand why after seeing more in the future.
The kids also didn't bother asking him, so he just started reading. After the kids finished their discussion, the older kids asked for permission to go out to help the other team members. Luciel didn't object and let them out, as they could indeed help the others in minor tasks like recording and other things.
As for the younger kids, they were still curious about what was happening outside, but they still had to do some studying and answer the assignments that they had; so, even though they were still curious, they had to start doing their assignments for the day, as they hadn't started anything yet.
Treyton and the others had been busy all day, but they still hadn't finished settling everything; so the next day, all the members woke up early again and started their work.
When Luciel woke up, he could hear Treyton and the others discussing things outside with a few people from the Sun Base. Treyton and the others had set up a temporary meeting place outside, and they were talking about the arrangement of the people that would be staying in the Sun Base afterwards.
According to Treyton, a lot of people still wanted to stay in the Sun Base, so Treyton just selected a few people that would manage the Sun Base from those people. There were still a few capable people that wanted to remain in the Sun Base because they didn't want to travel far any longer, or because they had families with them, so they just decided to stay to avoid more danger along the road.
According to Treyton, those people were at least still somewhat capable and had leadership qualities; they also had good character, and a lot of people still also had good opinions on them. So, after Treyton and the others reviewed what they had done before, they were selected to continue managing the Sun Base.
