Chapter 615 - 614: Getting near the sea 5
Because of the appearance of the rules—especially the implementation of the division of supplies between members of teams—some have already approached the management to report and resolve the issue regarding excessive supplies being hoarded by their leader or by others in their team. They’re mostly dealing with such disputes, and the teams that were left in the base were able to successfully intervene in those cases and managed to solve those problems.
Of course, most of the time, those who had their benefits cut short and lessened began complaining and didn’t want to comply, but those who remained also knew what they were doing and acted strongly.
Those who were warned three times and hadn’t complied yet would have more of their supplies confiscated and then distributed to their other members.
There were also a few who wanted to resist and wanted to fight, but were easily subdued by Wes and the others who were in charge of watching the process.
And also because of those rules, some teams have also disbanded after arguments and other things. Because of that, the registration of teams became more active again, which provided more work for those departments that were staying in the North Base.
Aside from those disputes, they’re still currently handling minor things, that’s why Wes and the others had only been reporting what happened there and hadn’t asked for help in handling something."
"Tsk, those are still fun to watch. Unfortunately, I wasn’t there."
Treyton chuckled and said, "There will certainly be more of such things. Even if it isn’t a dispute about the division of supplies, there will probably be more things once we get back, as those who were still observing for now will probably become braver later on.
So, if there are still some unresolved things once we get back, you can still watch some of it. As for now, most of the time, they’re still dealing with tedious paperwork and unending queries."
"Yeah, I’ll certainly go and sit around your office building later when we get back to watch some of those situations. By the way, it seems that your plan to go out of the base this time was really good, as you, as the main representative, were still able to get away from those tedious paperwork sessions as well as the repeated questions of other people."
"Yes, it seems that our timing is really good. They’re already handling those tedious things, so I’ll have to deal with less of those things once we return. However, as the main representative, I’ll certainly still have a lot of things to do once we get back, especially since those that remained in the North Base have certainly observed a lot of things and will probably have more suggestions for the rules and regulations for all the teams."
"Well, there are some people in the team who would certainly be interested in some of those jobs, especially about solving disputes and other things, like Nathan, who always loves to join in the fun, and of course, Camille, who always joins in. Why don’t you just let them do some of your work? They’ll certainly do some of it," Luciel said, as if he wasn’t doing what Nathan and Camille were fond of doing, since he didn’t even include his own name and was only mentioning Nathan and Camille’s names.
Before Treyton could even reply, Nathan, who was busy talking with Beia farther away, spoke loudly, "Hey! I just heard my name. What are you guys talking about? Oh no, never mind—just from the smile on Luciel, I know it’s nothing good. So, no matter what it is, the answer would be no!"
"Tsk. He immediately picked up his name even though he was also very busy talking with Bella and the others," Luciel commented while looking at Nathan and the others, who were also talking about a different topic from theirs.
Treyton chuckled and said, "Don’t worry. If both of them aren’t busy working in the North Base hospital, then I’ll certainly call them in for work."
"Yep, they should try to do that kind of work, since both of them were probably interested in seeing such things happen," Luciel said, and then smiled. He would certainly watch and see how Nathan and Camille would deal with those problems. If they couldn’t deal with such things, he’d have to laugh at them so that they’ll put in more effort.
"Hey! You guys are certainly planning something bad. Don’t try to involve me in anything!" Nathan shouted again, but Luciel and Treyton just ignored him and continued talking.
Luciel and Treyton continued talking to each other about other topics after they finished talking about the situation in the North Base. They only left the top of their RV when Richard finally called them over, as they could finally eat.
The next day, Luciel woke up earlier than usual, as they would travel through the bridge early. He also wanted to see what would happen when they started crossing the bridge, so he also woke up earlier. After having a short rest after their breakfast, they started going through the bridge.
The kids in their RV were also curious, so they were also looking outside just like him. Myla, Azim, and Nicole were currently in charge of clearing the cars that were blocking the road, while Nate and the others were responsible for killing the zombies along the way. They didn’t even bother going out of their RVs and just used their abilities to move the cars away and kill the zombies with their powers.
They were planning to move a bit faster through the bridge, so Treyton and the others didn’t let those without powers participate in cleaning up the zombies. So, they were also staying in their RV and looking outside to see what the others were doing.
Luciel wasn’t interested in seeing Myla and the others clear the road, as he had already seen them use their powers to move things many times. So, he just focused on looking below, as he wanted to see if some fish or other aquatic mutant animals or zombie animals could still smell them when they were already up on the bridge.
