Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 725 - Visiting the in-laws: Fortress City of Borg (Part 7)

Ch. 725 / 730 Aug 29, 2026

Yren finally woke up just as the sun was setting. He squirmed in my arms and grunted sleepily. He tried to snuggle further into my arms but I rolled on top of him instead and started moving my hips gently. His eyes snapped open as both his hands grabbed my hips. He groaned, "Wife... No more... I’m hungry, thirsty and I feel sticky!"I bit his neck playfully which got me another groan from him. I whispered teasingly, "It is your fault for passing out while it is still in."

I started moving my hips a bit quicker, not heading his plea, while asking him what he wanted to eat for dinner. Too bad, I did not get a proper answer the first time I asked since his brain has switched to coital mode.

I still care for my husband so I stopped after just one round and then asked him again what he would like to eat. He said that he was extremely hungry and that I could get anything as long as it is food. The first thing I thought of was meat, rice and maybe some root vegetables to get his energy back. I should also mix in a variety of sweet fruits for our dessert.

I stood up from the bed completely naked and walked across the room to the bathroom. Yren hurriedly got out of bed, equally naked and followed me. This time it was his idea so we had another round inside the bath.

After our bath, we finally clothed ourselves properly. He sat on the bed, giving his reports on his undercover mission. As for me, I started pulling out cooked food and already prepared fruits from my storage space for our dinner. I set up the dinner table while listening to Yren’s voice. It was rare to see this since he only talks this much when he was with the people he feels comfortable with.

While eating, I finally told him that I received a response from the letter I sent to his father. Yren looked confused for a few seconds as he shared his thoughts with me. He said that based on his information gathering, for so many years, many have given false information to his father about his whereabouts and it made his father wear. He seemingly has lost hope on finding him. He thinks it is weird that his father replied to the letter this quickly based on the previous fact alone.

I smiled at Yren and gave him a different point of view. I simply told him that "normal" parents will never give up looking for their lost children. I added that even if my father-in-law have received countless false reports about his son, he never disregarded none of them over the years and checked each one because he still believes that maybe one day, a real report will appear.

Yren was quiet so I lifted my head from the food to look at him. As I saw his face, he was looking at me with teary eyes, like a kid telling their mom that he was bullied. When he realized that I was staring at him, he hurriedly looked away and wiped his eyes with the back of his hands. He looked down then continued eating quietly while still sniffing like a kid.

In the letter, my father-in-law set the meeting place and time. He opted to do it in the middle of the afternoon at around 3pm in a private room of the most expensive restaurant in the city. Yren looked pumped now that we have a time and place for the meeting. It was very far from the sniffling kid a while ago.

I looked at Yren with a warm smile then he suddenly hugged himself while looking at me in fear. I rolled his eyes and smirked so he stood up from his seat and walked quickly back to the bedroom. I laughed out loud with all his antics.

I did show mercy to my husband and let him sleep in peace that night. I also have to wake up early the next day to complete the rest of my tasks for the mission hall. I purposely left the ones that had to be done within the city. After completing those tasks and meeting my father-in-law, I will then start my official work as an auditor in this place.

The next morning, just when I was gearing up for today’s tasks, Yren woke up and kept on watching me. I let him be with his little hobby but when I was about to leave, he made a fuss so he ended up accompanying me on my missions. I did not let him help but he watched me like some guard next to me.

There were only three tasks which did not need much physical or brain power so I was done before lunch time. Yren seemed to have no intentions of leaving my side so I let him be as I made my way back to the missions hall to confirm the completion of my last three tasks. As expected, Ezrath was at the counter but I pretended not to know him that much but I still greeted him and Crisandra politely with a nod.

Crisandra was looking curiously at Yren. She must be wondering where my companion came from. Knowing my husband, he also looked at her with the same curiousity but he did not say anything. Marking the tasks as completed was easy and quick, just a few minutes for each. Just as I was about to leave with Yren, I heard Ezrath ask a question that would create trouble soon.

He ran out of the counter and followed me by the door as he asked, "Why did you suddenly disappear yesterday? I was supposed to accompany you in finishing the last three tasks. You did not even say goodbye."

I saw Crisandra at the corner of my eye running towards Ezrath. She covered his mouth with her hand and pulled him back behind the counter. As to why she reacted that way, it was because thick bloodlust started to reek out of Yren just as Ezrath approached to follow me to the door.

Yren turned his head and looked at me then he raised an eyebrow. I sighed and replied, "He was my assigned monitor yesterday and his name is Ezrath. That woman is his mother, Crisanda. I left the mission hall after delivering the first 7 missions. We stayed in the forest but we slept in different tents. I did not touch him and I did not give him money. Calm down, will you?"
