Chapter 724 - Visiting the in-laws: Fortress City of Borg (Part 6)
In a matter of minutes, I was in front of the inn that I rented a room at. I greeted the receptionist in a jolly manner and was about to climb up the stairs when she told me that someone was waiting for me inside my room. This information has confused me as I did not have any prior commitments about meeting anyone especially in a private area such as my own room.I nodded once to the receptionist and thanked her for the heads up. I zoomed up the stairs then only stopped once I was in front of my door. I made myself invisible and undetectable before knocking on the door. It took some time for someone to answer the door. It seems that the person inside was also quite cautious since I also could not detect his or her presence.
When the door finally opened, I was surprised to see that it was Yren. He did not respond to my letter so I never expected that he would choose to visit the place I am staying at. I also thought that he would be very cautious and avoid meeting anyone outside since he is currently on undercover as a new recruit in Wrath.
Since I have confirmed that it was not an enemy, I entered the room while Yren was checking the corridors for any person who knocked on the door. He returned after barely a minute and entered the room. He even banged the door shut in anger as he murmured about me staying outside overnight just because no one was checking on my actions. He also complained about him wanting to be with me even if it would risk his undercover mission.
He is angry and jealous, isn’t he? How cute. I think I should reward my worrywart husband then.
Yren angrily fell on the bed on his back then stared at the ceiling, his face totally annoyed about the whole situation. I stealthily approached him then gave him a quick peck on the forehead together with a whispered order to sleep which his body automatically followed through our soul bond.
Once he was unconscious, I started removing his clothing then I carried him to the bathroom for a warm bath. He looked tired as if he had aged by a few years and gone through a lot of hardship just from being undercover in this place for less than a month. I decided to have a bath with him for a change though I know that he would be waking up soon.
About half an hour into the bath while we are just soaking in fragrant water (I have already scrubbed him clean), he woke up abruptly with his whole body tense and alert. I had my arms around his waist and my legs clamped around his thighs to keep him in place.
He quickly realized what was happening and started squirming to get out of my grasp. He was moving so much that it has started to look like we were grappling match instead. He did not say anything and just continuously struggled to get out so I had to play dirty as well.
I started giving him gentle kisses on the nape and side of his neck then down his shoulders. He gasped at the sudden intimacy and cursed, "Damn it" then he started squirming even more.
Since he is still not staying in place, I playfully bit on his right earlobe then quickly placed a hickey on the right crook of his neck, just enough for it to not to be seen when he is fully clothed. As for my hand, I also kept them busy by sliding the right one down to his lower abdomen while the left one rested on his hip, rubbing his skin gently.
Another gasp escaped from Yren then he started breathing heavily, his skin was starting to warm up. He used his hands to grab on to my wrists but it is not like he can remove my hands from where they are with his strength. With whatever strength he has left he accused me, "You are just trying to seduce me into forgetting why you did not sleep here last night!"
I giggled at his accusation and then murmured, "No, I am not. I took on missions at the missions hall for money and to relieve boredom. I needed to hunt for nocturnal animals so I camped out in the forest area near the foot of the mountain. I did not know that you would be visiting my inn since you did not reply."
With my quick responses, he stopped squirming and leaned back his weight on me. I teased him by whispering, "What? Not fighting back anymore?" He just answered, "When did I ever succeed in stopping you when you want to do it? And it is not like I don’t want it."
It was in the middle of the morning but we got into it just like that. We did it in the bathroom then on the bed. Yren was wild and insatiable as usual. He was not shy of saying naughty words or moaning loud. It was a good thing I placed a sound barrier earlier besides the usual protective one.
His stamina finally bottomed out some time in the middle of the afternoon, passing out while he was still inside me. I let him sleep just the way he was and did not move that much. My stamina was way more than what he had so I just stayed awake, checking for any responses that have come in from all the letters I sent out.
I spent the rest of the afternoon, reading responses and sending out replies. The best news was from the letter from Laerad as he said that the Vlaelmundr inside the new world tree realm is ready for its first inhabitants at anytime. Alstein has also gave an update that he has started with his task but he can’t be too obvious so he would need at least two weeks to complete it.
The rest of the letters were just the usual checking on each other and the kids. There were a few reports from husbands with assigned jobs as well but so far, no urgent things to handle. The last letter I opened was the one that I have been waiting for since I arrived here in the Fort City of Borg.
