Not really, he's kinda neutral, while he's not that likable but not to the point people will hate him like other Chinese protagonists for example Yun Che or Tang San is also bad Fair enough is Yun che from agaist the heavens? smoov Che is from ATG Against the gods?This stuff is all kinds of messed upWho is the guy everyone hates how is okay so many questions yet none know Well, I read a little and for Xiao Yan. It was mainly because his cultivation was higher than other, and became the de-facto boss among the youth. I think he was also a pretty well known fighter so he challenged and humiliated many kids.Then the ring thing his mother gave him started suck away his cultivation. If you are kind you will be slaughtered in at most the next 10 chapters I've seen a few that sorta fit the bill - Lan Luo from Absolute Resonance is both reasonable and sort-of 'benevolent', though in a human sense not godly which that word always seems to imply, and Bai Xiaochun was pretty nice, too?...I mean he seems pretty nice from an outsider's perspective who never has to actually deal with him or his pill making, but I'd say it still counts.

Didn't read the novel but i dropped the manga at ch 15 or so, too much idealistic Japanese kingdom buildings which is more fantasy that the fantasy world they live in, if you read enough of this kind of stuff you know what i mean. I rebember reading manga of this book some year back and then dropped it. How's the Novel can anyone comment after reading like 100 chap. Bootleg Dungeon Defence? Jk I read the manga of this like a year ago and I thought it was pretty good
