Story is quite good thoo. The mc is strong and cunning. He know when to back off and when to breakthrough. The only thing is he's horny. But that's not a problem. Storyline isn't fast pace so i kinda like it, at least for the moment
This story is weird is weid to me because it would be a somewhat fresh take on the rom-com story if we didn't see the main characters thoughts.To put it lightly he's a awful person he let the girl he's trying to get with almost drown so he could save her.And whenever there's a wholesome moment its by his inner thoughts.3/5
About the drowning thing, although I have not read the novel yet, I would say he acted in the best possible way to maximize his own benefits. If it was me depending on the situation or my mood, I would either make it like I also don't know how to swim, somehow save her, and make my imppression more favorable and ask for some benefits later on (this is the timid way). The other way, is wait till she is almost drowned and inhales some wated. Once you see this, save her. Here she can have the life saving kiss, inluding some groping, while you try to do the cpr. With the second way you look cool, but it is important that there are no other people, well even if there are, and you have planned her drowning situation, just put some loud music so she isn't heard. With the second one you can still ask for some favours later Will read the novel later on, there are too little chapters,
